Cell Phones as Part of Hunt Groups
IMPORTANT NOTE: Incoming calls routed to your cell phone as part of a Hunt Group will be clearly distinguishable from other calls as they will all appear as 13 digits in length, ending in three digits that were assigned randomly to you as an "Append to Caller ID". When your cell phone is ringing with one of these calls, it is important to know that if you "reject" the call on your cell phone, it will stop the hunt chain at that point and callers will be sent to your cell phone's voicemail, not your company's voice mailbox for that hunt group.
With iPhones, turning down the volume as a call comes in will reject the call, but one tap on the power button will silence the ringing and allow the call to continue through to the company voice mailbox, on which you will be emailed. If you have a different type of cell phone, please consult its manual to learn how to silence a call while letting it ring through.
