How To Send a Fax

Start by typing the 10-digit fax number into the Fax Number field, OR select a contact:

NOTE: If sending an international fax, click the flag to select the proper country first.

Next, select the cover page if you would like to use a different one than your default, OR select No Cover:

The next several fields are optional. Deliver To, Subject, and Notes get added to your cover page if you have the proper tokens added. Header Message is added to the fax header if this token is added in Account Fax Settings. Patient ID is an example custom field. These do not get added to the fax itself, but display in fax history. Tags can be added to faxes, and they display in fax history. Lastly, you can mark a fax as urgent, but this token has to be added to a cover page:

Next, select the file(s) you wish to upload. Click, drag & drop from your computer, or upload a file from your cloud storage. A maximum of 10 attachments can be added. There is a file size limit of 500mb for all attachments per fax, and each attachment cannot exceed 100mb via web portal.

Lastly, click Send to send immediately or Send Later to schedule at a later time:

That's it! You will see a pop-up notification confirming fax transmission has began. You can also check your fax history to see the status.

NOTE: If your attachment includes variable fields, please convert it to a PDF before sending the fax so that the field values are preserved.
